Sorry guys, but i hate using e-mail.

Graeme, regarding the T5 swap, after you cut the hole for the shifter, was there already holes for the big rubber boot? If not, how did you mount the boot?

Nope..no holes for the boot. Lines them up drilled holes dropped 4 bolts down, went under car did the nuts while someone in the car held the bolts!

I did it using sheet metal screws so I did not have to worry about putting on the nuts.

I tried sheet metal screws first, but with the constant up down when the car hits a bump or something, that boot comes up with the tranny so if it moves up enough it either tears the rubber or strips the screw or enlargens the hole and u have to replace them with bigger, and it repeats...i used bolts.
