89 2.8 firebird not running just right
I have a 1989 2.8 v6 firebird that I bought used . The car ran like crap when I bought it but it only had 82k miles on it so I figured there cant be too much wrong with it.
While working on it I discovered that the previous owners burned out the exhaust donut on the passenger side thus melting a couple vacuum lines and the EGR vacuum solenoid. I replaced the solenoid with a new one, repaire one of the vacuum lines coming out of the firewall {the other one I blocked off because I have no idea where it goes}and now the car runs better. The problem is at cruising speed you can feel the car jerk a little , like it is running too lean or something. EGR I had off and cleaned and its not leaking any where and there is no error code.
Could it be the O/2 sensor or something like that. Or the second vacuum line coming out of the firewall that I have no idea where it goes. Also there is a sensor with 1 wire that screws into the back of the cylinder head on the passenger side , what is it for?.
Also Timing is Fine and plugs look good just a hint of tannish white on the tip.
Thanks

From: First one out of liberty city, burn it to the ground
the sensor in the back that screws into the back of the passenger head is where the fan grounds and thus turns the fan on.
