quick question on the dynomax cat back for our V6er's

well i went to Don;'s today so i could chekc out my muffler options i have decided to get some performace cat "i think that was the name brand or something" for 60 bucks i have also decided that i want the Dynomax cat back exaust system, when i asked if they had any they told me they had to be special ordered, i told him it was for a v6, he checked and said he could only order ones for the V8's, my question is can a dynomax cat backf or a V8 fit my V6? or do they only make htemf or V8's and we have been using them for our 6er's the entier time lol, i neeed to know quick so i can order it, thanks

JC Whitney can sell you one for 149.99. Now I think the 2.8,3.1 dynomax cat back is the same as the V8, cause the intermediate pipe looks larger than 2 1/2 more like 3 inches...

I put on a dynomax kit on my old 84 2.8 Firebird S/E . It was a total pain in the rear. If you dont have a lift, pay someone to do it.

The kit # you want for the Dynomax Super Turbo is #17493. Like Don mentioned, it also fits F-bodies with 305 V8's (except codes "H" and "E"). You will need a V8 exhaust hanger for the right rear, though- they're all over the place in junkyards, and supposedly, available new from GM.

614Streets, the easiest way to put a Dynomax cat-back on is to drop the axle (raise car, put on jackstands, remove lower shock bolts, unbolt sides of anti-sway bar, lower axle). The whole cat-back slides right out from under the car!
