Yeah! Who's your daddy?!?
Hot damn, I fixed my car, first shot.
Did I btch here about my car's stumbling problem? I was driving around one day, and slammed on my brakes because of a lady blocking the road. Shortly after, my car tried to idle at 400 rpm, and I lost power brakes, the car wanted to stall, etc. When I got where I was going, I tried to start it again- it wouldn't start unless I had my foot in it. I went for a drive, using both feet to drive when I came to a stop (keep the RPM's high and therefore keep my power brakes). Soon after that, I found my master cylinder was leaking.
This happened a few random times after that. I was told brake fluid can screw up a booster, so I thought I had a vacuum leak in the booster. Yesterday, I planned to check the plugs when I got home. I stopped for a light, and the car started acting up- perfect! I was a few hundred feet from home.
I got home, popped the hood, removed the vac line from the booster, plugged the vac line with my thumb, and started the car- it still acted up. I turned it off, and plugged the vac line back in - it's not the booster!
I then look at the engine - and it hit me - EGR valve! I put my hand underneath and sure enough, the diaphragm was stuck all the way up. I started the car, and used my compressor to give the EGR valve 10 PSI of air- the EGR valve slammed shut, and the car went from no-idle to perfect-idle.
So, now, the EGR vac line is plugged with a golf tee. Looks like I'll be doing an EGR valve soon- thank goodness I have the vacuum unit and not the expensive digital one!

Hehe, I how you feel when you fix things all by yourself.
Does EGR effect preformance any? Cuz today when I was fixing all my vacuum lines, the ERG line to the canister had come off. I didnt know but I took the car out for a drive. Popped the hood to make sure everything was coo, cept i noticed a unusual hiss, which was the line. I plugged it back in and took it for another drive, which i didnt notice any change.
BTW, the vac lines brought back my throttle response and i got rid of the reluctancy my car had revin past 5k. Take it easy to 6.2k now. I just hope my gas milage went up too. Payce.
