2.8 vacuum hose help!

I have a 1989 camaro with a 2.8 v6 engine. I recently rebuilt it in the past 2 weeks and there is one last thing I'm having trouble figuring out. in the back/left of the engine, there is a vacuum hose connected near the EGR valve. I have no idea what it connects to (I've looked all around the engine to see if there is something it could go to). can somebody help me figure out where it goes? my car is throwing me a 32 code (egr failure)

thanks.

Re: 2.8 vacuum hose help!

I think the is a part mounted to the left(when standing on pass. side facing engine) of the coil on the coil bracket. On the bottom the is a place for a vacume hose. You cant see it very well but can feal it.Look real hard under the coil bracket. I'm still trying to figure my stuff out. There was no motor in it when I got it. Plus I'm putting a 3.1 block with a box of parts that came with the car.

plug it, will run fine if you can't find a port for it.

it probably ran to the canister.
