I just finished my car's intake port + polish job (see my other post) and now want to even out my car's acceleration by increasing torque. I know that certain mods increase top end horsepower (ignition), and some do more for torque. Which mods and upgrades will give me more low end grunt? TIA!

4.10 gears

 

I've actually been considering a gear swap, once I find some for cheap. I'm kinda leery of the effect 4.10 gears will have on my mileage, though. I'm thinking more along the lines of 3.73's.

my 1.6 rockers only helped in top end, but the same as you, when i hit 2k, my car takes off. if i was keeping the car, i was going to port the top and bottom plenums with the big TB that are available. I think you should do the 3.73 & posi, then work on doing a cam. i am sorry i didnt do posi since i have no traction what so ever when the roads are wet even just a little..

I like the 4.10's and when I can that is what I will get, but my camaro is a toy now. It no longer gets used monday thru thursday or in the rain or in anything bad.
