Crane Cam Power Loss

I recently called Crane down in Daytona I told them about my problem I also told them that when I had the new lifters put in they were really noisey and still are. They said that the knock sensor might be picking the lifter noise up as spark knock or something and retarding the ignition timing some what. I'm getting the car put on a diagnostics machine on Friday hopefully that is the end of the problem. Maybe the lifters need to be replaced again.

I would think a knock that bad would be damaging to the engine. Who did the original install?

If your engine's a 2.8 MPFI, there's definately no knock sensor. I'm not sure about the 3.1's.
