Sht man, are you serious???!! Wow, that guy got one hell of a deal.. all that work.. wow. That's why I'll never sell my Firebird. If the time ever comes where I have to, my car's getting stripped to "just" a frame, then I'll cut the frame up and/or crush it.
Not that I've thought about this or anything!

I would have never sold it for that. Before I bought mine , I looked at Several firebirds and camaros. For $2000 or less you were getting basically junk. Something that needed extensive interior work , body work , and loads of miles . Sounds to me like you had a realy nice car.
I paid 3k for my 89 with 83k miles on it, but it was well maintained interior almost perfect but needs re-clearing on the paint.
I would reconsider before they take it.
Just my opinion.

Well, I must say that guy got one hell of a deal. I can't believe you sold it for that price. I would have parted it out first, you could have got more for it. But I guess if you needed the money, it all comes down to that...

and there are many cars around here for less than 3k and are in very good contiion, heck i paid 2k for my 87 SC with 0 body dents, engine is perfect condition, repainted, and the interior is very nice with only 100,000, miles on it, i get compliments from people walking by all the time wich is a pluse
if you look hard enough you will find great deals, but DONT sell you F Bird for so cheap dude------------------

I've been wondering what mine's worth,m but it's parts not a car. If anyone's got a reasonable answer, then let me know. I have all the parts of the frame minus the driver's side door and the middle piece of the frame, inc. the top of the car. I've got the hood, the back glass, the engine (2.8L MPFI V6), the tranny, the Passenger seat, and the back light pieces. Now, what I'm askin for is someone's good price on how much for each item or pair of items, how much off of each can I get? I really appreciate your help and thanks a lot.
Take care,

I figure $300 for mine after its been hit 5 friggin times in the last year. I guess I'll keep her till she pukes and see if I can make it to 200,000 miles. I bought mine in 99 for $1700 with 112,300 miles on it and all it needed was a little paint and a good cleaning up.
