Exhaust!!!

My buddy just got a retail license so he gets exhaust systems for really cheap My main question is if anybody has ever tried out the magnaflow mufflers. These mufflers look bad a$$ they have a mirror like finish. I'm thinking about staying with single exhaust. 3" aluminized pipe with a magnaflow muffler. Please let me have your opinions.......thanks, Jeff!

I think they looks nice as Hell... i saw one on a 88 z28, and just about cried when i looked under it... so nice and shiny and its not very loud, which i would have ended up changing to (magnaflow) if i still had my firebird. I say go for the magnaflow.

my friedns had a magna flow muffler on his 89 RS, it was beautiful and wasn't very loud, when i went to a muffler shop i asked if they could hook up a magna flow to my V6 and htye told me there mainly for V* engine, it would make my V6 sound like a bus, did they now what they were talking about or are the full of it? anywas now i want the dynomax cat back so it doesnt matter

There no such thing as a muffler for a specific number of cylinders. Some mufflers do however flow more than others across different companies. Only difference of the exact same muffler being on and 8 versus the muffler on a 6 is the sound it'll make.

Thanks for the Info guyz, I just saw a review that UTI did on mufflers for f-bodies and they said that the magnaflow has made the biggest difference on the dyno. So I think i'm gonna go with it, even though I have heard alot about how quiet they are. Anyways my cat back system is only gonna cost me 60 bucks because my buddy has a retail license and an exhaust bender and expander
