Heat Shield for Starter

Heat Shield for Starter

Anybody make a heat shield for our starters to protect them from the heat from the exhaust pipes????

As far as I know, our starters aren't any smaller than a regular V8 starter... are you having a heat-soak problem, or is it just a precaution?

Well my starter died at 77,000 miles, heat killed it early, with out a doubt. Does summit have the V8 heat shield and how does it mount on to the car????
