Okay, I know this is a really dumb question, but.... What does a M.A.P Sensor do? someone told me that if it was bad it would cause a bad idle, Is this true?

M.anifold A.dsolute P.resure sensor. It measures the preasure inside the intake manifold to measure the engine load. If there is low vacuum then there is a high load requiring a rich fuel mixture. And vice versa.

 

so yes, bad idle
