Hey 84 Firebird 502 about your carb.
Hey 84 Firebird 502 about your carb.
I just called the carb place in LA.
You need the exact carb for rebuilding.
IF YA NEED THE VARIJET carb, that's the solution.
IF ya need the DUOJET, they got them at $100 with exchange.
I'd phone them or find out EXACTLY the application needed for your car engine combo.
When looking for the EXACT carb, you need to know what part number you seek.
And the special names for it.
This place has Computer Controlled carbs in stock, but......
You have a Federal version car, V-6, Auto w/AC? Start checking dealers for your part number.
Sorry I can't help ya much more than that. I tried.
I do know when I rebuilt my carb for my S-10 Blazer, that the part number on the side of the carb was of major importance to get the correct rebuild kit. Out in CA, I've tried to find Federal Version Carbs (for my 1967 RS/SS 350 Camaro 4-Speed Convert & my 1974 Corvette 350/Auto, both 49 state cars, now out in CA).
I found my carb for the Corvette back in Allentown PA.
That took me about 3 years to locate.
FINDING THE CARB FOR THE CAMARO!!! took me about close to 15 years.
Many swap meets I searched for both carbs, including wrecking yards.
Start calling the yards or hitting up websites for more help.
Sorry for this news, I've offered what I could.
The carb place is 213-748-7261.
Find the correct number & call them, they MAY have that carb, IF YA KNOW YOUR CARB SPECS & NUMBERS.
You have that info, I lack it, to help ya more.
I WISH WHO EVER IS USING EXCITE PHOTO HOSTING WOULD STOP USING IT
