radar detectors

any of you guys have a radar detector in your car? im thinkin of buying one.

both f-bodys off the road now. bought a 1968 ford galaxie (aka:the rust bucket). best $100 i ever spent. faster than hell though. more mods for that soon.

yes , Don't laugh , but I have a radioshack brand .Its saved me plenty of times but I dont recomend it because the sound goes out to soon .Althought it might be from the HOT a$$ son hitting it , even sitting on the floorboard after i take it down . Wouldn't chance it .Im still using it cus the sound is not always out , it comes and goes , but stay away from it .I've heard the VALENTINE is one of the best , but YOU PAY for it I know that , it cost some cheese . well , what I had was suppose to be one of the best on the market , guess not .I also have a whistler ,fell off my visor and broke .I got a ticket with that one , but the cops were over a hill , I dont know if it didnt pick it up or what .

Before I move this to electronics....i strongly suggest Cobra ESD-9850 or whatever is their new top of the line. Mine hits from like a mile back and sometimes I think it's false, but keep driving and sure enough, there he is. Saved me WELL over what I paid for it.
