Replacement engine?
My son just lost the engine in his '87 Camaro. Any recommendations for crate engines or remanufactured engines? Goodwrench no longer has them, He is deploying to Afganistan and needs to get the car back from New Mexico to Montana.

Re: Replacement engine?
I have a 88' Camaro with a 2.8L and Goodwrench still has a replacement motor. If your son has the 2.8L they were used in a large number of cars in the late 80's so there should be a replacement. If GM does not have one then you can always go with someone like Jasper who sells remanufactured engines.

Your son is Stationed at Fort Bliss right? I'm currently an 11B with 3/41IN 1/1 AD... I will pray he comes home safe

Not sure what your timeframe is, but have you considered a used engine with decent mileage to drop in and get him back on the road? You can also look for a 3.1 or 3.4 long block to drop in. Are you going to be doing it or will a shop be doing it?
