Yep, I've noticed this a few times now...
Never actually locked the tires up, but I've had to get on them a few time... oil pressure idiot light comes on without fail every time.
Any reason why? Do I need a new sender? Is my oil pressure really that low when I get on the binders?

I have that same problem. That is my sign that I need to add some oil. I've noticed that right after I change my oil and get hard on the brakes it doesn't come on, but after a week or so goes by and a quart and a half or so has leaked out I have the problem w/ the oil light coming out. First thing to do is to check and see if your oil is low and go from there.

Thanks Jason... you have a great point... I'm probably a quart low. Time to fill up ATF before the oil change.

I had that too, before I yanked the idiot light for a mechanical gauge... the oil probably just gets sucked away from the pickup for a few seconds.
