Dual cold air intake and headers Q?
Where can I get headers for my 89 V6 2.8 Firebird, I'm looking everywhere but no luck. Also how much you think they would be. Also I'm thinking of making a costume cold air intake. But I want mine to be a little more unique, I'm thinking with two air filters on each end, one where the Air box sits and one maybe above the battery or next to the other one. Also I heard that if you remove the AC, it will lighten your car 50lbs.

The induction u speak of is produced by SLP for around 200. It is smog legal. The a/c NO WAY weighs 50 lbs. 20 lbs at max. Headers are being made right now by Camaro Hunter D on the board.

Definetly go with a custom intake. Just make it look good with some good high temp paint and everything. That way you know it exaclty where thats airs coming from and it will only cost you like 50 to 75 bucks instead of 200 and it'll work the same. Ya and what for camaro hunter to finish his headers I know I'm gonna get me some to put on my 3.4.
Good luck

I've got my AC system above the garage, and yeah, it probably weighs 50 lbs; most of which is the compressor.
Best thing you can do for that type of intake is get out some paper and start drawing! Visit the Home Depot Speed Shop to see what's available, too.

Where can i find the dual cold air intake? I do not have a car, but will be getting L98 probably. I have seen a pic of it on this board so i did a search and came up with this. I went to slp's website, and the have a lot of pages to go through, and everyone i see is just called cold air intake. So do you know what exactly they call it or the product number for an L98 engine thanx
