What, you mean you didn't hear about those 50hp chips? They're all the rage, man i got one! Every splash of yellow adds another 5hp to your car, and man, if you run dual fart-pipes that's another 50 right there!

HEY I THINK YOU SHOULD DO MORE RESERCH ON CARS BEFORE OU CAN SIT THERE AND SAY YOU CAN ADD 50 HP TO A CAR BY PUTTING A CHIP IN FIRST OFF NO ONE CLAIMS TO ADD 50 HP IN A CHIP 25 TOPS AND THATS RARE ONLY ON A CUSTOM EPROM CAN YOU DO THAT. SECOND I HAVE A CAMARO AND I CAN PUT A CHIP IN MY CAMARO HELL I HAVE ONE IN IT WOW THOSE 50 HP REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOT MORE LIKE 15. DID YOU KNOW FOR FREE YOU CAN ADD 15 HP TO A CAMARO YES THATS RIGHT FREE. 50 BUCKS YOU CAN ADD ANOTHER 15 HP HMM SO FAR WE ARE AT 30 HP FOR 50 DOLLARS I CAN KEEP GOIN. WHAT ACTUALY KILLED THE CAR IS THE PRICE OF IT NOTICE HOW FORD SELLS THERE GT MUSTANG FOR 21,000 BUT GM SELL THERE TRANS AM AND CAMARO LINE FOR ABOUT 30,000. THE REASON IS BECAUSE FORD SACRAFISES QUALITY FOR PRICE CHEAPER PARTS CHEAPER CAR. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HERD OG HOT ANTIFREEZE GOING INTO A PLASTIC THROTLE BODY HMM ONLY IN A FORD MUSTANG. I WONDOER WHY THAT IS MAYBE ITS BECAUSE OF THE COST PLASTIC IS CHEAPER THEM ALMUNIUM SOO YOU SHOULD REALLY RESERCH WHAT YOU WRITE BEFORE YOU ACTUALY GO AND TLL THE PUBLIC FAULSE INFORMATION.

This is my e-mail. I hope you're all happy cause I didn't get to cash my paycheck today because I was writing this.

As I'm sure some of my fellow cohorts have done already, I'll save you the bashing part of the e-mail and simple skip to the part where I express my opinions on uneducated reporters like you.

#1) The F-body (Camaro and Firebird platforms) have been using chip since the early 80's. Dig up a domestic speed magazine and look for CCC (Computer Controlled carbs)... shock, they -have- been there for a while.

#2) Fuel injection has been in use on these cars since at least '82. Again, dig up some domestic knowledge and search for the LQ9. A crappy 4 cylinder engine, but TBI injection was factory.

#3) Fuel injection has been the only factory option for the f-body engines since 1988, ranging from MPFI, TBI and TPI.

#4) 50HP from a chip? HAH! Programming companies don't even ADVERTISE that much! The most I've seen advertisments for is 15 HP... and you'd be really lucky to get that. The only was you're going to get seat-of-the-pants gains is with a custom programmed EPROM. And by delving into this science, you can also get 30MPG highway, which is a major selling point for these imports... Ask any GM prom programmer and ask them about LCM(lean cruise mode).

#5) A large majority of the GM population does not feel these cars are gone. As a matter of fact, I'll bet you didn't even pay attention to the official announcement. "Hiatus" was the word they used... hey that sounds familiar! Can you say Corvette? Yeah, that was a few years ago, and this is practically a ****ing replay. Wait, I'm ranting...

#6) Oooohh, 225HP stock... compared to the 300+ coming out of the 5.7L GM engines today. Hey, as a matter of fact, we've been putting out 225 HP since '87... I won't even go back into the "pre gas crisis" days.

#7) Hey, we do have one thing in common. Us GM engine guys have a 3 step program for success. #1 Go out and womp on poser ricers #2 decide thats not enough and buy a blower... install a boost cam and some headers... continue to womp on ricers and the non poser VTEC guys.. #3 get some traction and upgrade the rear-end and destroy Vipers and other exotics. Mustang GT in stock form? about 4.5 seconds in arrears.

#8) You seem to forget that in track tests, F-body's have been beating Mustangs in every catagory for years... Plus, Ford doesn't need to detune their cars because they have a higher model to tend to. Plastic throttle bodies? Only Ford... There is a reason why all the acronyms are for Ford and Not GM. Why? ****ers Only Roll Downhill.

#9) Why don't they sell? Mustangs are cheaper, so are ricers. Reporters like you who don't know what they're talking about. And, as only a thirdgen (82-92) lover can say, the new ones are ugly. Will they be back, who knows... But if they weren't GM would have said "They won't be back ever" instead of "on hiatus".

Next time you write an article, don't pull **** out of your *** . Some future advice: stick to the stuff you know about. It's better for people to think you're dumb, than open your mouth and prove it. I welcome any comments, you have my permission to e-mail me back, and you also have my permission to write and publish and article where you admit you have not a clue what you're talking about.

BTW...I do know that imports have much much more to gain from chip burning than we do. Especially Vtech's. 50HP, I'm not SURE, but I'm not putting it completely past them. Plus, if they mod, chip burning definately benefits them.

BTW, closed due to non-tech.
