Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Beretta was faster. For one thing they have a huge weight advantage. Lighter car, plus aluminum heads if I'm right.

well i can vouch that they are...I've been beat by one. The 2.8L berrettas were rated as having less hp than the 2.8L birds, but the difference is that they do have a weight advantage.

I have been toasted by a Beratta the same one many many many times. They are fast, there light, and they have more snap it seems. My Firebird can't even come close to keeping up until we reach speeds of about 140-150km/h, then things become more even...lol

But the Beretta is fast no doubt in my mind the same HP(newer ones have more) with alot less weight means faster... But your car is not Rice... that guy is a dumbass for saying that...

Haven driven my friends 89 beretta gt with 160k on it... id have to say that they are most defenitly faster.. even with 160k on it i was chripin tires at 3/4 throttle..

defenitly felt like it was pulling harder then my car has.. altho it was only a 3 speed tranny
