Advice on Port/Polishing Intake Manifold/Heads
Anyone did it themselves? How would I go about doing this? Would it be much better for me to have a professional do it? I have some connections to a guy that can do it for a reasonable price. any info is appreciated. also what can I expect for in HP/ torque?
thanks again

Extrude Hone would cost about $600.

KEDS I'm also wondering if 94 3.4L V6 exhaust manifolds will work with my 3.1L. I'm also gonna stop by my local junkyard and look to find some extra parts that I can work on before I am willing to try on parts on my car. I also have another Q. Is there a difference in the 4L60(700R4) tranny for a V8 and the 4L60(700R4) tranny for the V6?

the v8 & v6 tranny's have different bolt patterns, & the exhaust manifolds should be interchangable.

From what I can tell ya.
I did my 2.8-3.4 swap.
My year swap covered ALL MPFI 60* engine modifications from the start to the end.
I have a 1985 car & I swapped in a 1995 3.4 engine.
The 1995 manifolds are virtually identical, casting.
What my 1995 version has, that is different, is a aluminum heat shield, virtually encasing the entire cast iron manifolds.
When I did my swap, I left the 1995 manifolds on the engine (one less project/gasket to do!).
The 1995 manifolds bolted perfectly with the in car 1985 exhaust system.
What yard are you using?
For the engine, as it is in your car, teh exhaust piping from the engine to the CC is THE BIGEST HP ROBBER we have.
Check into using an Edelbrock header V-8 Exhaust pipe from the engine to the CC for better breathing & more worthwhile HP, then spending time & $$ porting & polishing.
Honest, you'll gain a solid 5-8HP, every RPM range, by fixing the exhaust blockage, first.
I plan on doing this project very soon. I need my fuel pump job done first! Another radiator, second! I'm going to pick your part. $25.
Email me if you wnat this guys name & number for your engine work.
He is one of the best.
