hey check this out

hmm seams that my car has been patched up, changing tail light bulbs, i noticed that along the wheel wells that the back half of my car is not original.

now it just like the outer skin is not original, ive been all under it. and on the out side you cant tell anyhwere at all so they did a good job, but on top of them wheel well i can see the bondo in the seams.

Filled up today. 10.035 gallons. Miles traveled 278.8. so roughly 28 MPG and this after just running a tank of really cheap gas that I got maybe 20 MPG on.

Jaren I had to purchase spacers to get them to fit. And yes I said my grandmother is where i got the car from got it when I had my lerners permit, but she was never nice to the car she could scare the **** outa u. No need for a v8 with her **** I got airborn at least 5 times during the trips i went to see her either summer or christmas. Shed see railroad tracks and just punch it. HAHAH oh and she had this thing with puddles (she'd love to see the water spray up over the car) So she'd have to hit all the damn puddles she could see. I think what made the sucked last and still run as of today is the highway driving. It still runs strong i'd say for the miledge thats on it. During oil changes's at the 2000 mile mark I notice the power go away and it just turns into an every day station wagon or something. But when I first change it its great. I have no low end as of my cat being gutted. But I Have great top end. Although my grandmother now drives a pontiac transport and drives it like 50 miles and hour (guess it cought up with her) HAHA ;-)

74,396 miles on my 86 2.8, and about to put her up for sale. I had no problem getting just under 30 mpg highway. Now my 85 Jetta is another story. Just over 275k on the clock and still running strong. All original 1.8 4cyl, and 38mpg city or highway.

my 88 2.8 has 171,000 km so thats about 100K miles, right ? , got the engine rebuilt (by myself) about 1,000 km so thats about 2 month ago , the tranny is original and going good. )except an annoying sound when i put it in reverse)(manual tran.) got it when i was 16 now 17, and it gets about 14 mpg
i have to get some1 to look at it because i tried everything and donno ehy the milage so bad.

we should have a 200K club.

few hundred over 200k the original t5 went out, first drive with the new t5, 1-2-3-4 squeals with two people in the car.

i find i get the best arond town miles with sunoco ultra 94, not sure the actual milage, but it last longer than any other brand of hi grade gas.

so many times i come close to running out, cause it last so long i forget it needs gas and i just go driving.

now my wagon, is 5 bucks a day, i cant even pass a gas station.

I've got 249,600 on my 88 2.8. Leaks a quart of oil a week but still runs like a champ. Haven't changed anything. Haven't had any major engine problems. Original engine/tran. I've gone through three alternators, one starter, and one water pump.

Got about 140G. Would have to go out and look to get exact fig. Got 30mpg avg. 75mph on a 200 mi rnd trip once. But now I'm in Germany at 5000ft. with hills everywhere and doing 85-120mph on autobahn so I think I burn a little more gas now. Little more math involved with litres.

About 105k miles, original engine. Don't know when the original tranny went, I bought the car with its second, or so I was told. If I was BS'd, the original tranny went at about 100k.

I bought my 85 firebird a month ago with 107,000 orginal on it, 2 weeks after I bought the tranny went south. I could tell when I bought it that the previous owner(s?) didn't keep it up, but I thought that some repairs and some fluid changes, and she would be a good car. Guess I was wrong. Back to driving the 87 Buick Century with the 2.5L with 190,000 miles original and still running strong. Have a freind who's uncle will probably help me swap a 350 into the bird this summer though

Wow, this is an old post! haha

84 Trans Am here with 109000 miles on it...almost all summer. Until this year it has been garaged every September through May. 60000 on the motor and 8000 on the rebuilt 700R4. The motor wound up with a rear main seal leak while on a long road trip (Minnesota to Texas) and I didn't catch it until I was almost home from the trip...blew all the main's and scored the crank really good when I tried to pass a Corvette!

My car I just bought last week has 139,822.6 miles on the original engine (not a problem!) and a presumed original T-5. That's OK mileage for a 20 year old car, eh? My last car was a 2000 Dodge, and it had more miles than this one!

i wondered why i didnt recognize most people on here, lol. this post is from before me, lol. ive got 157k on it now. original trans, dropped in a 3.4 at about 140k just because. 3.4 has about 74k on it, but had the top end off twice since i got it. lotsa mods and so far, worth every penny. i was offered $6000 right after i got it on the road at a gas station and turned it down. bacuse i have more than that into it, lol and why would i get rid of it???? i let my mom take it to the dealership she works at, she said she about had to wipe the drool spots off it, lol.

around 70,000 miles on my baby, not sure of that particular miles because of an "odometer discrepancy" (old dash fried, got a junkyard pull). Gets up to 30 MPG, and looks damn good doing it

I'm running a 5.0 H.O. in mine, I can get just under 300 miles to the tank, running 22-23 mpg on the highway, about 19 in town...about 230 miles or so.

Well I have 164,000 on my car origonal engine and transmission, but when I stopped driving it a while back the third gear is going out and very soon after I stopped driving it the fuel pump went out. So I have a little work a head of me to get my car back on the road.

The Red 89 Iroc I drove today has 85K on it. I 've owned it for 14 years.

I get about 22 on the highway. I get probably about 10 everywhere else.

257,000 Los Angeles Traffic miles on the original engine and 5-speed. Doesn't leak or burn anything. After 3000 miles, still full of oil. Wait, I lied, the P/S leaks a little at the box, I have to add some fluid every 6 months or so.

As of the count this morning, 27.2 MPG freeway, and the last city tank I did was 22.4 MPG. That was about 3 months ago. Still passes smog and the A/C even works again.

199,000 before the thrust bearing started to go out, very noisy every time I stepped on the clutch. Replacement motor has right at 3,000 and last check (last week) right at 22 mpg at 70 -80 mph.

I had a 2.8 in my 86 it was running strong at 283 000 kilometres but then I pulled out to pass a guy on a two lane road, hammered it and bent a rod so with the prospect of a rebuild it was a choice of a few extra dollars and double the cubes (173 to 350).

Wow, we've got almost the exact same mileage (within a couple hundred miles) on our 1992 V6 Camaro but I can't bring myself to drive 75 on long trips around here - mostly because I'd get run over since traffic tends to flow closer to 85~90 at times around here. 24mpg is the best I've ever seen, but around town or in mixed driving I get 17~20mpg, mostly because my foot is always to the floorboards trying to get the car moving. It's by far the slowest car of our three and you get used to having a lot more power when it's available you know!
