Axle/Gears: Yeah there in the back
3.1 fuel injectors on a 2.8??
Hey guys, i have a quick question. if i put 3.1 fuel rails, and fuel injectors on my 88 2.8 firebird, would it work? would it give it a little more power? ive been told it would technically make it a 3.1 motor.

Lol....they should work, but the most that will change is that you will probably run rich.

Same fuel injectors were used for a couple years on both engines... You'll be fine, provided you match the full set and don't mix them.
And no, don't swap the fuel rail. The ECM won't be happy and will have difficulty starting in the colder weather. And no, the only way to make a 2.8 into a 3.1 is to put in the 3.1 rotating assembly in the lower end of the engine.
