90 Firebird, Oil Leaking Off Of Oil Filter

On my 1990 Firebird, the oil leaks about a drop a second off of the oil filter while its running. I had an oil pressure problem where it was building no pressure, i replaced the oil pressure switch (which fixed the problem), but now the oil pressure on start-up is 80, after running for more than 30 minutes, it'll drop down to 35-40 on idle and kick back to 80 any time engine speed increases. I had 10w-30 in it, and the pressure was substantially higher. As of this morning ive been running 5w-30, which is what the engine calls for, but now the leak has increased in speed.

I have felt aroound, and sadly found no source of the leak. I am limited and crippled in funds, so i need to know the fastest, most effective way to fix this. Thanks in advance. (=

Need to fins where it is leaking from. If it started after the pressure switch was swapped, good possibility that is it.

The other area that leaks is the oil filter adapter to block seal.

Make sure the old gasket from the oil filter is not stuck on the block or new filter.

Re: 90 Firebird, Oil Leaking Off Of Oil Filter

I found that its leaking from the Valve Cover and the Distributor ..
Next step is Taking apart the plenum, and partial top side rebuild..
My next question is, Do I have to replace all gaskets off of the plenum if i remove it, because removing it is a required step in the repair, unfortunately..
