My wife said I can build this thing
It's been sitting around almost 2 years, doing not much of anything. I drive it every once in awhile. Sometimes post here and think about working on it, but never really end up doing much. I've had it for 8 years now. I went through it yesterday and took stock of what I need to address first, and got my wife excited at us driving our hot rod 1992 Camaro up to Hot August Nights in a couple years, and just ordered about $700 worth of parts to get it started. HAHA
This thing has seen it's days. But everything is there, and there is no rust. I just want to get the little stuff fixed first, then get the suspension freshened up, start the task of getting it painted (which will take the longest), and swap in a stock LS1. Then carpet, seats, some 18" IROC replicas, and some lowering springs.
Nothing too fancy, just clean and crisp. But a long road ahead of me. I can't wait. I just ordered an entire front end kit because the old front end is shot. All moog hardparts, with UMI adjusting sleeves and poly bushings. Also ordered some stainless steel Russells brake lines to replace my old swollen rubber ones, and a UMI adjustable panhard to replace my bent one. So after these repairs I will be fixing the doors (sagging and window adjustments), and some wiring issues, then start collecting parts for paint and weatherstripping.
Should be seeing you guys a lot more as this thing gets off the ground. Wish me luck!
