Aluminum Driveshaft

I found an aluminum drive shaft locally but have a quick question for you guys. From what ive read any 3rd/4th gen driveshaft should work fine but the ad says this one will only fit 5 or 6 speed V8. It was removed from a 98-02 car with an LS1. Any help would be great. Thanks
