Re: 1984 camaro carb linkage HELP!!!!

The linkage is on the passenger side, and it hooks into the hole with a bushing on the bracket, via a clip. Very simply, actually. Vac lines aren't too bad either, I can try to snap a picture after work, but chances are it will be too dark to get a good picture.

Did you take the carburetor completely off of the engine? Or did you just loosen the nuts off the studs and flop it over?

I just got done dicking with mine today, so it is still pretty fresh in my mind. If he removed the carburetor from the engine he should have marked his vac lines as he removed them. Makes things a whole lot simpler. I don't understand why he took the carb off in the first place, the fuel line is at the rear of the carb (strange!), but you can get to it pretty easily from the driver's side with a 1/2" flare wrench.

yea i shoulda marked the vac lines lesson learned lol the more i mess with this engine the more im starting to think its not the original motor cause the fuel filter houseing nut was on the back drivers side of the carb instead of being in the front center where it shoulda been at. the fuel filter houseing nut was all rounded off to hell and when i was able to get a wrench to grip on it it just twisted the hell outa my fuel line which kinked it so i had to remove the carb to get the fuel filter houseing off AND the put a new fuel line on seeing as how the one that was on there ran under the carb.

That fuel line is supposed to be in the rear of the carb on the driver's side, at least that is where mine is. I know it's pretty weird, I have always seen fuel lines in the front of the carbs. I'm not gonna lie, I completely forgot to get a picture for you after work that night. I will be under the hood of my car again soon (hopefully tomorrow) as I have to replace the mixture control solenoid. DO NOT BREAK THAT THING! So when I am under the hood I will get a picture of it all back together for ya.
