Car: 89 s10 89 firebird
Engine: s10 has 4.3 firebird has 2.8
why does my car run better with the idle air contol valve unpluged
it will stall out and miss a ton with it pluged in but only miss a few times and not stall out if not pluged in the iac is new and all

Did you do the idle learn procedure? And did you make sure to set the initial pintle position correctly? Start the car and let it idle for a while then shut it of and start again. Cars can be different. Mine started and idled first time with a new iac. If it doesn't work you may have other issues.
