Can't help ya until we see pics of your new ride Kyle...

For starters, I would look into a cold air intake, exhaust, and tuneup (including prom tune)...

Welcome aboard on TGO!

Same suggestions as streetletal said. Cold Air Induction, Exhaust mods, Weight reduction, eprom tuning. Have fun with the sixshooter! There fun to work on.

Yes the dual snorkle intake is a very very good air cleaner set up.
Cheepest way to add boost in preformance? What do you consider cheep?

Headers or a different free flowing muffler would greatly help. Or eprom tuning, which would cost under 200 bucks if you do it the "chip burrning" style like I did.

What ever you do in my opinion do NOT buy one of those hypertech chips. The other day I began to tune a friends 305tpi firebird. Now it had a hypertech chip in it. I wanted to see what the car was doing with the stock chip so I could see the progress in 1/4 mile times as I tuned the car. So I loaded the stock bin file(basicaly the stock chip in the car) and we went down the 1/4 mile race track and the results...... the car was just as fast with the stock chip as it was with that 150 dollar hypertech chip. Literly almost the same exact 1/4 mile times!

i suggest the same thing as these other guys, stock exhaust is pretty restricted new headers and such would be a great idea, along with cold air, open those 2 up and that'l be some bang for your buck!

Ok kool so how would i go about getting one of those chips you talk about and how much would it cost. And i can still add a clean air intake even with the snorkel system ?

Yes you can still add a different cold air intake but theres really no point in my opinion since the dual snorkle intake pulls air from out side of the engine bay(thus cool/cold air induction) You dual snorkle intake is a good set up as is, and will flow enough CFM's for your car.

The equiptment to "burn" chips cost about 190 dollars in total to be able to do it right. If you want to go this route there is some learning to do but still it is a very good investment and any car will benifit from a tune. For this set up you can burn off as many chips as you want as the chips are re-burnable. Sorta like when you burn a CD/RW with music.
