Loose wires, don't know where they go.

Trying to solve my problem with my car starting (2.8l '83). And I've found 2 wires that are just hanging out not connected to anything. Anyone have a clue where they go?

Here's a link to the pictures: http://imgur.com/a/y00pK

The blue one is on the drivers side of the engine. The green one is on the passenger side close to the ignition coil.

You'll also see a picture of my holding a broken tube. Any idea what it does?

not sur eon the 2 plugs but it apears the grean one is not used at all, the blue one is a lil to clean so it looks like it may have been pluged in somewere, does anything on the car not work?

also the broken line apears to be comming off an air diverter valve, does the car have an air pump?

sorry but im not to familiar with the carbed v6, but we do have a few members here that do have them that maybeable to take pics of there engine bays and try to see if they have thos epolugs plugged into anything

That valve could be for an air diverter or something, but I'm not too familiar with those parts as of yet. I'm sure I can just make a custom replacement though, it seemed to work well with holes in it. I just want a new one because when I was working on the engine the damn thing literally disintegrated when I pulled it out of the air box.

Also, I'm not sure about the green one (and yes it looks like it's never been used) but the blue one I don't think has been used recently (if ever), as when I changed my spark plugs and wires 2 years ago it was unhooked (I think).

I'm just asking now because I think it would be really weird to put wires in that aren't going to be used. Unless of course, they use the same harness for multiple cars, in which they may be used on the other cars.

The blue one goes on the Choke Thermostat... If it's disconnected, it's probably because it's failed and keeps the choke on all the time. Disconnected the choke stays off all the time, which is the better of the two options. It connects on the driver's side of the carburetor.

The green one, you've got me... My car doesn't have any connectors like that in that vicinity that I could see... If you could zoom out a bit so I could get a better reference of where the wire is located, I can go look on mine again.

I've taken a picture of the hoses for you to see how they sit in my car. It was dark, so if you can't see what you need, I can take another one tomorrow with my good camera.
