ac bypass pulley

my ac compressor is siezed and is causing a bad squeek. i need this to stop so i was going to buy a bypass pulley. i am not sure if they are different for my 1986 2.8l engine compared to the 5.7s or 5.0s. if someone can recommend me a pulley to purchase for m7y engine or an alternative to get my belt off that compressor i would greatly appreciate it.

Re: ac bypass pulley

For the 2.8? You could remove the power steering back bracket...remove the front bracket bolt and move it up 1 notch then get a shorter belt and route it differently. I had my 2.8 like that for months...worked fine.
