starting when cold

I redid the ignition system this summer and got my car running perfectly, timing is also set dead on. But now that it's a lot colder out it's a real pain to start. Is there anything I can do to make it start easier?

As it is now i have to pump the peddle twice, start and hold it at 1500rpm for a few min before it will go without dying...

That awkward feeling when the post has plenty of views but not even one reply...

Re: starting when cold

Having a carburetor check the choke function of it. Also, not knowing how often you drive it, make sure that it has recent Winter gas in the tank. Summer gas will cause hard starts in cold weather.

This ^, if you still have trouble, starting fluid might help it fire up.
