And for Todays Mystery Object........
Got more engine bay parts re-assembled last night.
I came across this part but am not sure where it goes.
Anyone know what it is ?
Thanks,
Rhys

It is the cat-con hanger. It has been modified some by the addition of the curved piece on the upper right of the picture.
The flat on the left bolts to the trans tail housing (maybe via the same bolts that hold the torque arm mount?).
RBob.

Great, thanks for your help with that.

That curved modification bit looks iffy. Hopefully it works - will have a look tonight.

Looks like someone at some point removed the stock cat and put a universal hanger onto the bracket... New cat should already have a bracket as part of the flange. The cat end of the hanger bolts to the 2 bolts off to the side of the 2 flange bolts.

Re: And for Todays Mystery Object........
just remove the rusted pc on yhe rt side of the pic and it will be factory again. and bolt up to your STOCK cat ,or an oe cat such as magniflow mine did you will use the 2 bolt holes to bolt up the cat . and yes the other end mts to the tail shaft on the trany to the bolts that hold the torque arm mts (torque arm on drivers side rusty mod pass side) place a jack under the rearend to take the pressure off the torque arm only if you remove the 2 bolts completly though its not necessary unless you plan to replace the torque arm mt ,which is a good idea.
