Re: coil relocation pics please!

back in the day i made a bracket out of aluminum and relocated the coil on my tpi car to the firewall . the best way to do it is to have the shortest possibly coil to distributor coil wire.

I just moved it to the cowl lip stick out right there by the hood seal, using the stock bolts, only needed to drill two hole, don't have to extend wires. got a pic somewhere but dunno right now.

Re: coil relocation pics please!

If you go to my profile picture, you will see my fully polished intake, spacers and coil bracket. The car burned to the ground when the coil cooked off ironically(I think I had a bad ground from the engine to the body), but basicly I took a piece of 3 inch square aluminum tube and cut a bracket out of it that I then modified to hang the coil off the last two bolts on the passenger side of the plenum. Even cut a 'bowtie' opening in the top as an extra detail! I still have the polished intake- a little 'carboned' up, but it will polish up nice if I ever get another V6. I have a Z28 now, so a little more power!
