O2 sensor wire routing ?

While under my son's project car the other day (91 RS with the V6) I noticed that the O2 sensor was in the exhaust pipe but its wire and connector were just hanging down to the ground. The wires to the connector are pretty short so there's only a limited number of places it could connect to so I thought it would be easy to find but I'm apparently overlooking it. Any help on where I would find where the connects into on the engine side somewhere?

Re: O2 sensor wire routing ?

Should be a single wire connector with a purple wire on it coming out of the harness near where the harness is joined in a T, with the starter and front of engine part of the harness coming out and away from the rest. It just hangs there, pretty much.
