Maintenance
I have a 91 Camaro with 165K miles. Should I replace the timing chain? I'm going to replace the Cap and Rotor. I have new plugs and wires. Should I change the module or leave the same one in there?

Re: Maintenance
1. Do a full tuneup first. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new fluids, new filters.
2. If you can't be 100% certain the timing chain has been replaced yet, do it.
3. New gaskets would probably be a good idea (intake and valve covers).
4. As per your other thread (you only need one, honest), DO NOT TOUCH THE FPR as regular maintenance. Only replace the diaphragm if it fails. You do NOT need an adjustable FPR on a stock engine.
5. Same goes for the ignition module, but I would pick up a spare in case the old one fails while you're driving (been known to happen).

Re: Maintenance
Alright, thanks for the info. Should I keep the coil as is as well? It looks fine. The bands look like they are pretty tight and just some surface rust.

Re: Maintenance
If it's the original coil (in other words, it's still riveted to the bracket), I'd chuck it. It could be bad internally. A new one is less than $20.
