89 Camaro rs 2.8 reading vss code

89 Camaro rs 2.8 reading vss code

So my 1989 Camaro rs with the 2.8 is reading a vss code on my obd1 scanner and I can't find the vss anywhere I have a 700 r4 in it and there is not one on the tail shaft area either anyone got some ideas it's running like complete crap

So my 89 rs with the 2.8 is reading a vss code but I can't seem to find it it has the 700r4 and its not on the tail shaft area anywhere anyone have any ideas please let me know cause she's running like crap an she's my baby

VSS is about 3-4 inches to the front of the driveshaft, driver's side. Just behind the flange where the tail housing bolts to the main case. It's about 2" or so around with a 2-wire plug in it. You can't possibly miss it.

If your car even HAS the trans mounted VSS and it's not on the back of the speedo head, that is (cable driven speedo)...
