Hey guys, its been a while, I had big plans, but you know how that goes.... Something along the lines of an ls swap.... (facepalm) anyways....., ive started getting ambitious again and was wondering if you guys knew anything about the t5? Im looking to turn my car into a manual, I know whats involved in the swap, just having a hard time finding a tranny, im pretty sure the s-10/ blazers came with them too right? Am I missing any more vehicles? How cheap doy you think I could get my hands on one?

Re: T5

Yes, the S-series also had the V6 T-5. However, they DO NOT have the right tailshaft housing for proper orientation (trans is turned slightly to the right in the F-body, S-series shifter is in the wrong location, no torque arm mount) and MAY have the wrong output shaft. It's too bad you're not closer to me because there was one on CraigsList yesterday for $275 (too much... Got mine for $200 with warranty from the J/Y 2 towns over).

Trans, bellhousing, bell dust cover, clutch kit, flywheel (88+!), hydraulic clutch assembly (I have one if interested), manual pedal set with proper clutch switch, proper VSS and speedo gears (you will probably need a purple 7-tooth drive gear if the trans doesn't already have it, and those are pretty much extinct the last I looked), reverse light pigtail/wiring, torque arm mount and catalytic converter hanger. And a rear main seal and RTV for the rear cam cover (might as well do both while under there as you will have the flexplate off of the crank anyways and you DO NOT want those leaking all over your brand new clutch!).
