it does weigh a ton, suspose to help absorb the effect of the rise and fall of the tranny. Mine is tight but still kinda jiggles in its mount, I could remove it, or investigate why its wiggling some and stop it...........
was told its a V6 only thing in trans sectoin
mine moves up a good 3/4 of a inch, so each time I hit a bump that jumps up then comes down, thinking its causing more road vibes then it would help right now.

Never had it. Guy at the J/Y I bought all of the swap parts from gave me one, and I promptly gave it back along with the 2.8 flywheel and a few other things he gave me I didn't need (driveshaft, torque arm included). I have yet to have an issue, except I think my trans mounts keep tearing because they were getting soaked with oil...
I believe the weight was also used on the 2.5, but you would be hard pressed to find someone who has one on here...

I kinda wondered if thats why I got the original mount at 230K cause the way that weight is hung, it could only help to keep it in one place. Other then add 50lb of steel.......... my whole under carriage could be drilled for oil, if oil hurts them , mine should have disolved

Do you have that insane dual donut trans mount, or the one that is also used on the 700R4? I use the 700R4 mount (because it's $20 and the other one is like $200). When this one splits, I have a stronger mount to put in (like 58mark's).
