vacuum hose mess help?
the PO messed up all the vacuum lines and just kinda went with if it fits it must be right. I just hooked up my heater core but the heater control valve is missing one of the vacuum lines that goes to the top. I know it goes to one of the hard hoses but im not sure which one. also im pretty sure all the routing is wrong ATM. but for starters does the red circled one go to the heater control valve? both the yellow and red are hard lines. ive been searching and searching but cant seem to find a diagram anywhere.

The one in the yellow goes to the heater control valve that is near underneath the alternator, looks like a UFO with 2 or so coolant hoses coming out of it.
Just took another look at the pic, the hose circled in yellow goes the the heater control valve you circled in red at the bottom of the pic.
I would post pics of mine, but I just did away with most of the lines except the heater control valve and HVAC.
I can tell you from the way they were on my car, flip the check valve around the opposite direction and that connects to the nipple thats capped off on the back of the intake. Then the elbow that goes to the hard line connects to the opposite side of the check valve. I cant quite remember where the 3rd output of the check valve goes, I think to the vacuum tank.
Is that an 87 or 88?

I went to autozone and Oreilly and couldn't find the hard line that goes to the heater control valve. they had hard vacuum lines but the wrong sizes, looks like some1 has cut mine and it doesn't reach the valve anymore. is there somewhere I can find it. or does some1 know what size it is. does it matter??

I've always been able to find hard line at advance auto or autozone. If they say they don't know what you're talking about...ask to speak to someone that made it out of the fifth grade.

I did find hard line but it wasn't the right size I guess you could say as in the heater control valve one had a narrower hole size? I asked the guys at the counter if it mattered but they weren't sure either. I wanted to make sure the bigger line didn't make a difference in vacuum pressure.
