well the gauge for temp isn't working on my friends 91 v6
I fixed his thermostat (also had a stipped bolt I had to rethread )
but his gauge isn't working

car has 177k on it hasn't ran sense 08 we went to start it finnaly but it wouldn't crank (starter pin/ vats issue ) we turned the block backwards a 1/4 inch smacked the starter and did a key reset
still wouldn't start ...
it was the ignition coil (figured that one by pulling #1 cyl plug slightly away from plug and getting no spark )
FINALLY !! it ran so we flushed fluids plugs super thick wires :3
slapped a no cat exhaust on
brought all the horses left back to life (she has a good bit of kick left in her lol)
so that's the story he has a bodykit he spent 1600 on(waiting on warm for bondo and paint)
new headlights from ebay (I recommend them makes quite a difference )

so how can I get this temp gauge working agen (I figure its the thermostat sensor by the thermostat under the throttle ?

2.8l, 3.1l? The sensor under the throttle body is the coolant temp sensor for the ecm, not the gauge. The gauge sender is in the front of the drivers side head IIRC. It has a single wire with white or black connector.

I don't have a pic, but it should be behind the ac compressor with a single green/white stripe wire coming from it. I put a mechanical sender and gauge in mine.
