A couple of t5 swap questions

I hope this is the right section but I am looking to swap a t5 into my 92 firebird and have a few questions.
1. Currently I have a 2.8 flywheel. If I remove the counterweight will it be ok to use on my 3.1?

2. Will a vss from a 93 camaro t5 work with my car if I use the correct speedometer gears?

3. I have attached a picture of a part that was on the donor car my t5 came from. I would like to know what it is and whether it is worth installing. The donor car was an extremely stripped down 85 sports coupe if that matters and it mounted using the same holes as the torque arm mount.

Thanks

Re: A couple of t5 swap questions

Ended up keeping mine, once I got the slack out of it so it didn't jiggle, it does help vibs in your stick. never noticed much before, but after re-doing the whole front end and chasing vibs all over, I start to notice every bump n jiggle.

[Did give a spare to a buddy to use on his ford truck long ago, and it helpped him. but his was a rise and fall problem. from massive torque, as he put two 4 speed stick trannys end to end, giving him a mega range.]
