1992 3.1 Distributer Bracket??

While rebuilding the top half of my motor I noticed that the little bracket that holds the dist. in place is a chome aftermarket POS. Does anyone know where I could find an OEM bracket?

Wreckers.

But really what makes the chrome aftermarket one a POS? It simply has to create a clamping force for the dizzy to stay in place.

Thanks for the reply! It must be a universal type for a bunch of cars because it does a very bad job of clamping the dizzy in place. It actually rests on the trans. None of the wreckers by me have any v6's. I was hoping an online place might have OEM, or even something alittle better than the one I have now.

Ahh, ok. Aftermerket ones usually fit better than that, so as you say it must be a poor design, or just too universal.

FYI, you can grab the same clamp from from a FWD 660, it holds the oil pump drive down.
