85 2.8 won't start
Hi,
just joined forum and looking for help.
Decide after about 5 years to pull my Camaro out of storage and get back on the road.
Drained fuel, put fresh in. Cleaned plugs. Charged battery.
Car turns over on key, you can hear fuel pump ticking then stops, guess thats when fuel pressure is up.
But it won't fire up.
Checked at plugs no spark.
Checked lead from coil to distributor no spark.
My car has separate coil from distributor.
I read somewhere that 12v goes in to coil via thick pink wire, is this constant or on cranking?
Where is this wire fed from?
Took coil off and checked it was earthing through bracket then down to manifold and all good.
Hints, tips any advice would be appreciated.
I'm in Scotland and trying to find anybody that knows about Camaros over here is not easy.
Thanks

Sorry no ones has replied yet, get a test light to test for power to the coil. The pink one should have constant power & the other should have flashing power while trying to start the engine.
If no power is at the pink wire the check your fuses.
