3.1 to 3.4 Swap Clarification Question

Ok, so next month I am flying to where my 92 RS is sitting to finish building the 3.4 and drop it in place of the 3.1. Flying one way with just 5 days to assemble, reinstall, break-in and then road trip of 1,000 miles so have to get this right the first time. I have read the threads on the swap many times but since they include both 2.8 and 3.1 a few things are a little unclear so here goes.

If I read correctly, the only parts I use from the 3.4L are the block, heads, crank, connecting rods, pistons, cam, timing chain, lifters, pushrods, rockers, fuel injectors, and spark plugs.

I use from the 3.1L everything else including the rocker covers, exhaust manifolds, timing cover, harmonic damper, water pump, belt pulleys, oil filter adapter, oil pan, oil pump, PS pump, starter, flywheel (manual trans), fuel rail, intake, and distributor. Although I believe the 3.1L cam, timing set, push rods and rockers will work on the 3.4L. (Buying mostly new parts though)

This is the part that is a little unclear. The swap article says to use the 3.4L balancer, crank pulley, WP pulley, and rocker covers but I think that means for the 2.8 to 3.4 swap. The 3.1L versions of these work on the 3.4L correct?

Thanks...

Re: 3.1 to 3.4 Swap Clarification Question

Think of it this way. The 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4 are the same motor. In the same way a 305, 327, and a 350 are. ALL you need from the 3.4 is the long block. The 3.1 and 3.4 injectors are the same, the pulleys are the same, the motor mounts are the same, literally everything that puts your 3.1 in your Camaro goes on the 3.4. The ONLY thing you need is the long block.

When I did my swap I kept all of my 2.8 accessories and put them on the 3.4. That includes all pulleys. I use my 2.8 exhaust manifolds, my intake, my dizzy everything. I have a thread on here somewhere from when I did mine a few years ago with detailed pictures of what is different and why you need to swap those things.
