"91"RS 3.1L Running Problem.

Ok fellow Camaro guys & gals. I have a technical issue I'm hoping to solve. I have a 91 RS 3.1L Auto. I bought the car from the original owner and this car is in excellent condition and is pretty much all original. The only things mechanical under the hood that have been altered on this car are the injectors. The intake gasket was leaking so when I replaced the gasket it was recommended I upgrade the injectors from the stock 2 nozzle to 4 nozzle Bosch. All that said, here's the issue, which started long after I replaced the injectors.
The car will run fine then out of the blue (when coming to a stop) act like it's running on 3 cylinders and die.
The only way to restart the car is hold the throttle to the floor and to keep it running you have to keep it above idle. Eventually it will clear up and run fine (sometimes for the rest of the day). Then out of the blue it does it again.
A local shop had the car for 2 months and couldn't figure this out. The shop did replace the computer which solved another issue it was having.
Prior to me acquiring the car it sat for 5yrs so I replaced the tank, pump, sending unit, filter, all tune up parts and flushed all fuel lines. The car ran great for three yrs before this started.

Any suggestions?????

Was the FPR replaced at the same time the injectors were?

I have the very same problem with my Bird... Have you checked if your sparks were clean when the car stopped or they were covered with oil/fuel? If so, then I am interested as I have the same fault.

In my case: spark plugs, spark cables, distributor, rotor has been changed, new fuel pump fuel filter o2 sensor maf sensor and so much other stuff has been replaced. Also this is the 2nd set of injectors I have installed, but both sets are old and used. One run 180.000km and the other was unused for 16 years and got cleaned recently.

I am replacing my injectors to stock like and will clear the fuel pipe as I have found some brown stuff inside the fuel bridge (where my injectors are placed)

One easy thing to check is pull the vacuum line from the fpr and smell for gas. If you smell gas in the vac line you need to replace the diaphragm in the fpr.
