confused.... 1984 2.8L, MAP, MAF both or neither??

Ok, I am slightly confused, I have a 1984 2.8l Camaro, with 2 bbl, keep reading that I don't have a IAC, which is fine but do I have a MAP or MAF or both or neither? Trying to trouble shoot a hard start and stumble/stall at idle and at low speeds (braking/turning). Plan on rebuilding the carbs at some stage and also delete/bypass CAT which I think is the original but just looking for other things to check,
Thanks

neither its an 84, you got a carb.

maf, map, IAC all computer devices for fuel injection.

anytime a car stalls using the brakes you have a vacuum leak, the brakes use so much vacuum it will suck the life out of a running engine and kill it.

If you check out the wiring diagram for 1984 2.8L over at austin third gen , you'll see that it is an ECM controlled carb (Electronic mixture control) and as such does have several sensors such as a vacuum sensor (MAP) , O2 sensor , Throttle position sensor , Baro sensor , and so on . I would check for Vacuum leaks and also I'd check for proper functioning of the carb's electronic control components .

I'm sorry I can't seem to post a direct link to the page with the 84 2.8 wiring diagram , but if you search www.austinthirdgen.org you should find it . This diagram will show you all the components of your system . I would also look into getting a good troubleshooting guide for the engine/ECM systems as well ....
