83 carb, installed valve covers, now code 41?

83 carb, installed valve covers, now code 41?
Installed a pair of Fiero valve covers on my 83 Firebird 2.8 and now I have a CEL for code 41; No distributor reference pulse to ECM.
I've checked all the connections but obviously I'm missing something.
What can I check?
EDIT: Somehow the big plug on the distributor came a little undone! All set

haha sure, still not done cleaning things up under there.
Just got my non-cruise control speedo cable so I can gut all that mess.
Next up... 2se carb and no ECU!

Oh yeah that looks good man, really gives the engine bay a bit of sparkle, good work. I like the blue under there.
Dam they look just has hard to get too as the injection engines as well !

haha yes it was a pain! Had to take off all the emissions stuff, throttle linkage, etc etc. Wasn't going to bother as the motor is coming out this fall for a swap but the stamped steel covers were leaking BAD!
