New alternator, idle too high?

Good Morning,
voltage regulator went out on me a couple days ago. spent almost all day looking for the same alternator locally, no luck. 73-78amp (i have ac and defrost). did some reasearch and saw that the 95 amp from the 5.0 will fit. purchased and installed of course.

now my idle is around 1600 and in drive around 1100

Tried to do some idle adjustments when its in park.. nothing.
did the same with the veh in drive. took it down to 550.

i was reading and saw that if the battery is disconnected might take a while to relearn. so im going to wait it out as she doesn't drive long distances that much.

but does this sound normal?
