Car: 91 RS Camaro
Engine: 3.1 in the begining and now a 5.7
Transmission: 700r4 w/ 2500 stall
IN SERIOUD NEED OF ELECTRICAL ADVICE!!!!

I have a 3.1 that is throwing a E.S.T code. I had the ICM tested and just replaced the pick up coil. The ICM tested good. Where do I go from here. It has new plugs,wires, rotor, cap and button. IIt's all B.W.D parts not any performance just stock parts because I will be swapping motors soon but need to get this v6 running for now. PLEASE HELP. IM AN ELECTRICAL IDIOT!

Are you positive the code is 42 and not for the ESC (knock control) system? If it is, you need to check the resistance of the tan/black wire between the ECM and the ignition module, making sure the "set timing" bypass connector is connected by the heater blower.
