Failing firebird
Bought a 1991 firebird with a 3.1v6. Well I got to enjoy it for two days and then it bogged down and died on me. When I would try to start it the car would turn over and kinda fire and not stay running. I have tried replacing sensors and I'm currently set further back after trying to bypass my vats system now I can't even get it to turn over. Does anyone happen to know the resistance value on the vats keys? I come from a mechanically inclined family and the shop is not an option would like to do the work myself just basically need some pointers

Welcome to the forum, noticed this is your first post. Please update your profile so you don't have to repeat your vehicle every time. Also use the search function extensively, lots of members seem to have the same problems with these vehicles. Here's a freebie, hope it helps and don't hesitate to ask further questions. Good luck.

Re: Failing firebird
On my 91 camaro I bypassed the relay for the vats. It was behind the driver'sside kick panel. And once I done that it was fine. As far as the bogging down goes have you tried the ignition module and pick up coil. Just shooting a couple ideas your way bro.
