Velocity stacks

So I just noticed that the 3.1 lower intake is perfect for velocity stacks in the way the lower intake is setup. Ive always wanted to run them badboys on an engine. I looked around the forum and found a post about them and im under the impression that deathstar89 has done it. However I cant find the thread were he laid out his plans and the details on how he did it any help would be great thanks

Re: Velocity stacks

He did it on a gen3 lower intake, which is very different than your gen1 lower intake.

Re: Velocity stacks

3100 would be gen3. You need to specify things like that when posting, especially on a typically gen1 dominated forum.

Re: Velocity stacks

Yes Its using one TB per cylinder vastly improving airflow. The "Velocity stack" refers to the air horn attached to it that helps with the air intake they used this system on the old school F1 cars

Re: Velocity stacks

not a modified factory intake but it was cast this way. about 1 of 6 ever made. fits gen 2 aluminum heads.

This one is for the gen 1 iron heads. and there are more than a few of these floating around. someone was trying to sell 5 or 6 of these a couple of years ago.
